As expected, with the boss busy elsewhere, yesterday was a quiet and productive work day. I had some time to tinker around with the Excel “ROUND” command and found that it didn’t correct the particular issue I’ve been having. I then found some Excel classes (level 1, 2 and 3) and presented a proposal that I attend them, which my boss approved. He doesn’t think I need level 1, but I think the basics of Excel have changed enough in the last few versions that it would be helpful. Anyway, the classes are one day each and begin in September, and I am looking forward to becoming a Spreadsheet Virtuoso.
The boss will be in full force today. It’s always a strange way to end the week, with his intensity and whirlwindyness. Oh well, it’s nothing I can’t handle. My primary focus tomorrow will be on J’s painting, which is really coming along. I also found a sugar-free devil’s food cake mix and frosting, so I’m excited to make a birthday cake for J, although that won’t happen until next weekend.
