7/19/17 ftf, wren

Yesterday, I attended a meeting that was actually rather pleasant.  I walked there and back, about a mile each way, which was a mixed bag.  Although it was a gorgeous morning, the down side of walking in work clothes is that it makes for lots of sweat and blisters on the feet.  The meeting itself was a revelation.  There was not a single long-winded person in attendance, and we just stayed on task, solved problems, and ended 20 minutes early.  This is what all meetings should be like, but almost never are.

As predicted, chatty secretary was in full chat mode, and my attempts to project an unwelcoming aura were minimally successful.  However, I then delegated an onerous project to her, which had the dual benefit of freeing up some of my time and of keeping her too busy to chat.  I will have to do more of this in the future.
