As expected, much of yesterday was consumed with a last minute frenzy of activity caused by the boss’s lateness on preparing his grant proposal.  I’m expecting more of the same today.

The big shake-up at the university continued yesterday when the president, no less, announced his resignation. If only we could have such a shake-up, ending in the resignation of the president and vice-president, in our national government!

We met our new neighbor, and she is lovely.  She is a widow and has a gorgeous and gargantuan Newfoundland dog named Fluffy.  She is nice and quiet, and I am thrilled to have her as our neighbor.

I heard on the radio that the Broadway production of Book of Mormon is coming here in August, so I am going to buy tickets to see it on J’s birthday.  We don’t get that many opportunities to see a first-rate production of a play out here, so this will be really special, and where better to see a show that mocks the Mos?

happy dog time!

  1. Glad you’re going to get to see Book of Mormon! I enjoyed it when I saw it a few years ago. I wonder how it will go down in your neck of the woods…
