Happy May Day!  It’s not a holiday in the US, but I hope that others are enjoying a day off.

It was a cold, quiet and productive weekend for me, with lots of hiking, cleaning and reading.  I had a long phone call with a dear old friend and learned that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it is treatable and that he will do well.  He is on his own in the world, so we’ve offered to have him stay with us and get treatment at the hospital that I went to, so we’ll see what he decides to do about that.

This morning is going to be taken up with meetings, ugh, but at least I am feeling a lot less pressure after my recent Week of Productivity.
