4/26/17 ftf, wren

The big excitement from yesterday was an afternoon email from the university president announcing that the cancer center CEO (who had been abruptly dismissed via email last week) has been reinstated to her position, and the reporting structure has been changed so that she will now report directly to the president, rather than to the evil VP for medicine.  So the evil VP’s power grab ended up giving the CEO more power.  Many, including me, are now hoping that the evil VP will be dismissed.  No one has any trust for her now, and it has already had an impact on faculty recruitment.

Aside from that excitement, it was a relaxed and productive day at work.  I’m hoping for more of the same today, as well as a pleasant lunch date with two friends.

  1. That’s great news about the CEO! Hope the evil VP gets the boot soon.
