Had a less frustrating day yesterday (thanks wren and calypte for sharing your fellow frustrations!) – got the info I needed and dealt with the VAT registration at long last. so that was a huge weight off my mind.

Had a quick look at a news website yesterday afternoon and saw about the attacks on Westminster very shortly after they happened. My brother confirmed very quickly that he and my SIL were both ok which was a relief as they work in that area. SIL was in a building on lockdown until surprisingly late (8ish, I think) but she told me my brother was on the way home so at least the cats would get fed 🙂

Just so horrible to think that someone can drive a car into pedestrians like that. I’m going to stick to the side streets even more in future.

  • get woken up at stupid o’clock by text message from colleague with too much information saying she’s sick
  • ironing
  • STLs
  • meeting with fundholder who just got £3-4m legacy
  • JG application
  • more bank forms
  • Gift Aid hour
  • more checking
  • collect parcels
  • am wondering whether to go and see Personal Shopper at nearby arty cinema this evening

  1. Such a relief to know that you and your family are safe.

  2. I’m glad things turned around for you at work yesterday and also glad that your family are safe and sound. It was very sad news from London, that’s for sure, and must be unsettling for many.

  3. Awful thing. Glad you and yours are okay!
