calypte 8th February

First day of holiday – again! πŸ˜‰ Still battling the lingering remnants of the cold, so plan is for a lovely lazy day, but that’s how all hols should start anyway, I reckon πŸ™‚ So, looking forward to a nice bath, lots of reading and yet more catching up on TV, plus planned a phone call with my ‘bestie’ tonight – we email most days, but almost never call.

I did get a bit tense leaving work yesterday, as it felt like another ‘step’ towards the Big Bad. Which is still feeling unreal – this time next week the deed will be done o_O Eeep. I did wonder if the week off would leave me with too much time to fret, but – and maybe the snuffles have actually been helpful with this! – it’s actually really nice to just be able to not do anything right now, or think about just fun stuff.

And yup, head is full of ‘plans’. I seem to be in a (wannabe) creative phase, so thoughts are swirling around art projects – both real and digital now I have the tablet set up and a new paint program πŸ™‚ Between the cold and planned recovery time, I allowed myself to download a hidden object game, and feeling quite inspired to create a real-life version of the ‘case book’ as an art/writing project – clues and doodles and cuttings, oh my! Needs a lot more thought, still, but fun planning.

And on from that, pondering again the ‘Scanner project book’, as a way of keeping track of all of these ideas. And digital journal pages, in the style of the wonderful Ursula Vernon (ursulav on LiveJournal – worth a look!). And an inspiration/sample book for things like colour schemes for cards. And the bullet journal – these are all variations on a theme! Key message: get doodling, as it’s a skill that would be useful in all these areas and I’ll only improve through practice πŸ™‚

Gimme five minutes, and I’ll be back on a coding kick… LOL! πŸ˜‰
