Yesterday was quiet enough, and I was able to tame the work to-do list a bit more. I intend to make even more progress today, although I do have two meetings that will suck up some time. President Obama was successful in making a significant labor regulation change so that anyone making less than about $48 k will be entitled to overtime pay after 4o hours of work in a week, which is about twice the previous threshold. I’m very much in favor of this change, but it’s creating quite a lot of paperwork drama, requiring many meetings to resolve.
Speaking of drama, the national news is so full of election hysteria these days that it’s practically unbearable. I’m also completely sick of hearing people moan that Trump and Clinton are exactly the same. How can any thinking person actually believe such a thing? It’s ridiculous. Anyway, J and I delivered our early ballots yesterday, so that’s two more votes on the books for Hillary! We also were gifted with two “I Voted” stickers. I wonder if the homelands of other ftfers bestow voters with stickers when they complete their civic duty…?
Okay then, the plan for today is to persevere through the continuing cold virus while also completing at least five things on the work to-do list.
