It was nice to have a random day off in the middle of the week yesterday. I enjoyed a very pleasant hike, made some good progress with my Spring cleaning, and got some roses, geraniums and herbs for my garden.
The news from the hand surgeon was a mixed bag. He is concerned about a space between two of the wrist bones that shouldn’t be there, as well as instabilities in two places that indicate more ligament damage. If I hadn’t just had two surgeries, he would recommend surgery, but he’s concerned about doing another major surgery right now. On the other hand (ha ha), he’s really impressed with the range of motion that I’ve recovered. So the plan is the wait three months, then take more x-rays and consider surgery. For now, I’m finally free of splints and braces, which is a thrill.
I feel some dread about work this morning. Will I be assaulted by more hysterics from the problem employee? I hope not! I need to move forward on some projects that have been on the backburner for a while.
