I’m so glad that it is weekend eve!  I am beyond ready for some serious non-work time.  My boss was back in a big way yesterday, and he ended up giving me about a dozen new things to do, which felt a little overwhelming.

Amazingly, when I got home from work there was a message on the machine from a someone at Subaru of  America, the big corporate office back east.  Apparently, filing a law suit is what it takes to get their attention.  I have no idea what she wants.  She just said she wanted to discuss the case.  One of my friends who is a lawyer thinks that they will want to settle without going to court, because she thinks the cost of sending someone out to attend the hearing will be greater than the amount we are asking for.  I hope that is the case!  J thinks she is just calling to get information from us, so he is not enthused about speaking with her.   Well, she’s out of the office until Monday (her office hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm – I want those hours!), so we’ll have to wait to find out.

SL’s FTF, Friday 30th May

Hoping for a quiet day at work today – there won’t be many of us in the office and I really need to get my head down and get on with the accounts. Then, at long last, I’m here for the weekend! Have been looking forward to it for ages. I can’t remember the last time I had a weekend to myself, probably some time in March? My friend Andrew wants to meet up for lunch on Sunday so have made plans to do that, which will be nice. And am going over to the cheese shop tomorrow, although Cheese Girl apparently isn’t working there any more. She was supposed to email me but never did – anyway, the cheese is calling!

  • walk
  • breakfast
  • work bitch (channelling Britney)
  • quiet night in, perhaps do some drawing
  • Agents of SHIELD
  • continue reading Kiss Me First, about 3/4 of the way through now, would like to finish this weekend

Moosie Friday 30 May

Taking an extra day off today and am going to properly chill out this weekend – things have been so hectic and I have four days at home ahead to just chill, be crafty, play some music, see how I feel, get things sorted out. One thing at a time, whatever I like.

* I’m thinking toast and jam for breakfast
* realised my popclogs doesn’t have an icon yet so “select a moose to photograph” is high on my list today
* move myself
* wash myself
* clean the flat
* make tiny envelopes
* scrapbook
* music
* shopping and possibly coffee

We’re right in the heart of a beautiful Spring.  It’s hard to be at work when I just want to be outside!  Such is life – I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way!

The boss was bumped from his return flight, so we didn’t see him until early afternoon yesterday.  He popped in for a quick minute on his way to a meeting and said he’d be returning right at the time when I should have been going home.  I was prepared to stay extra, but then his secretary told me she wanted me to leave before he got back because she wanted his undivided attention in answering a pile of questions.  Of course, I did the kind thing and left a few minutes early.  It was a real hardship!

I’m reading a very compelling novel called The 19th Wife right now.  It’s several generations of mystery set in a fundamentalist Mormon polygamy cult, and given where I live, the setting makes it extra interesting.

SL’s FTF, Thurs 29th May

Had a fun evening last night, no O but at least Alan and another guy I know slightly were there. We tasted some nice wines and G and I went to Belgos afterwards which hit the spot 🙂

Haven’t been for a walk today as I stayed up quite late watching Orphan Black. It’s my favourite thing on TV at the moment. The same actress is playing various clones and it’s amazing how she does it and makes them all so different.

The auditors are getting to me slightly, but I have a feeling they might finish today. Hoping it will be quiet so I can get on with the accounts! I should never have let B take two weeks off at our busiest time of year… too nice, that’s my problem.

  • breakfast
  • deal with queries I failed to deal with yesterday
  • continue sorting out codes
  • audit meeting 2.00
  • leave at 6.00
  • food shopping
  • Mum to call
  • probably watch a DVD or something? suspect Mum will call in middle of the Good Wife so will save that for tomorrow!

Moosie Thursday 29 May

Ooops forgot to list yesterday! And didn’t get much done! The dull weather we’ve been having has zapped all my power to think in straight lines and make decisions! I’ve taken Friday off because things are about to get busy at work again and I want to make the most of the longer days while I can. So just get through today!

I signed up on popclogs yesterday – mostly so I can keep an eye on what the rest of you are doing, though I couldn’t resist setting a few goals too 😉 seems fun!

Ftf:
* lists
* go through pictures and videos
* redownload music (beware the Spotify upgrade!!)
* sites & emails
* swim
* breakfast

Work: shitloads to do actually!
* debit note
* files for next month
* tax stuff (A)
* payments
* bank recs
* budget sheets
* pizza with FWP 😀 😀
* lists etc.

Tonight:
* phone call
* chill with B

3/28/14 ftf, wren

I just didn’t feel like being at work yesterday and ended up wasting a lot of time, rather than accomplishing loads.  Now the boss is back, but I’m hoping he’ll keep himself busy and out of my hair!
